Abstract

This systematic literature review addresses the main components of the use of minimally invasive
spine and hip surgery, supported by available robotic advancements. It is demonstrated that,
currently, both orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons are trained to treat spinal conditions, which
differs from hip surgery, as the latter is considered the exclusive domain of orthopedic specialists.
Thus, a challenging invitation remains to transition from traditional open surgery to a new, advanced,
and technologically enhanced approach to comprehensive patient care and prompt rehabilitation
with a high probability of success.
