Abstract

Some health problems can be found silent in the body and at any time could go from an
asymptomatic and uncomplicated state to a symptomatic and complicated state, for
this particular case it is intended to resume the term of invisible cholelithiasis to the
calculous pathology of the bile duct that has no symptoms, but that eventually could
cause acute abdomen or obstruction of the bile ducts leading to pathological processes
that not being detected in time, could cause even death.
During this systematic review of the literature, the reader will be put in context about
the main and updated pathophysiological causes, the diagnosis and treatment of
asymptomatic cholelithiasis, as well as the most appropriate cutting-edge diagnostic
tests will be determined in the face of the suspicion of it in each patient.
