Unidades de cuidado intensivo con conciencia ecológica oportunidades y retos en latinoamérica

La unidad de cuidado intensivo son áreas hospitalarias especializadas en la atención de pacientes con enfermedades graves con alto riesgo de inestabilidad a corto plazo quienes requiere vigilancia permanente para así poder responder de forma rápida y oportuna, siendo un área altamente especializada requiere de un gran aporte de recursos siendo una de las fuentes más importantes de contaminación a nivel hospitalario (1) . Este articulo aborda la problemática de como las unidades de cuidado intensivo son parte del problema del cambio climático, así como las oportunidades y retos que se tienen para generar Uci más verdes.
