Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming medical practice through predictive data analysis, personalized diagnosis and treatment, and improved doctor-patient communication. Fifty-six scientific articles were consulted in international databases, of which eight were excluded for not meeting the inclusion criteria, resulting in 48 studies included for the final analysis. This systematic review analyzed forty-eight studies published between 2020 and 2025 in the specialties of internal medicine, pediatrics, and gynecology. The study identified relevant applications of AI in clinical prediction models [1,2], diagnostic support [3,4], personalized medicine [5], and empathetic communication channels [6]. While the advances are remarkable, technical, ethical, and educational challenges persist that limit its implementation [7,8,9,10]. The article concludes that AI is a promising tool for strengthening healthcare, provided it is adopted under principles of equity, ethics, and constant supervision [11].
