Abstract

A systematic review was carried out, where it was evidenced an analysis about the
usefulness of adenosine deaminase from the interpretation of its cut-off points,
sensitivity, specificity and predictive values. In order to get to a relationship of
the contexts of pleural tuberculosis with the variation of adenosine deaminase
levels and anergy from a pathophysiology and immunological interpretation. For
an understanding of the role of this enzyme in the diagnosis and immunotherapy in
relation to Mycobacterium tuberculosis, where anergy is fundamental.
